At UGAHacks, we help your ideas reach new heights. Log on and get hacking with us in this epic 36 hour hackathon, hosted in Georgia's quintessential college town, Athens.

Hackathons are all about exploring your ideas and bringing them to fruition. We've got mentors, workshops and mixers to help you get what you need and branch out, and fun events like video game tournaments when you're bushed and ready to unwind. We'll keep you well fed and watered all weekend. It's time to go out on a limb and find your roots!

Best Domain Name from Domain.com

Register a domain using Domain.com during the weekend. Each team may submit one entry per person on the team. Each winning team member will receive a Domain.com branded backpack.

Best UiPath Automation Hack

Build or add automation to your hack using UiPath! Each winning team member will receive a Limited Edition UiPath Branded Backpack.

Best Use of MongoDB Atlas

Create a hack using MongoDB Atlas to host a database in the cloud! Automate the provisioning and deployment process with ease, while focusing all your efforts on your hack. Projects built using MongoDB Atlas will be eligible to win an AirCharge Plus per team member.

Best Use of Blockstack

Create an app using the Blockstack Platform. Each winning team member will receive a pair of Apple BeatsX Earphones. The opportunity with Blockstack doesn't end with the event. Any app built with Blockstack during a hackathon that successfully registers for the App Mining program will receive an additional $200 reward.

Judging Criteria

  • Technology
    How technically impressive is the project? Did the project use a clever technique or use many components? Did it make you go “wow”?
  • Impact
    How important is this project to the target audience? Will solve a common problem?
  • Creativity
    Is this idea new and interesting? Has anything similar to this project been developed before?
  • Learning
    What did they learn from this? Did they learn a lot of new topics (maybe even soft skills)? This will be more of a question based category rather than observing their work.
  • Design
    Is the design and use of this project intuitive? Is there a learning curve to using it or were you able to understand it at a glance? Does the project have a unique look at feel to it?
